Winter Co-ed Sunday Kickball on Turf at Cleveland HS

Mrs. Lee was a wall today having to take some hard slides from the opposing team. Not only did she stand up to the pressure, she will probably have a few leg bruises as some battle wounds. A hard fought game to the end, Swift Kick rode their star player the entire way but came up just short. Britney will go down as one tough lady though and whoever plays her in future weeks need not even bother heading to 2nd base as she'll have it covered!

In a wind-assisted day there was no shortage of long balls, HR's and wicked movement towards right field on Field 1. The winners and non-winners of the day were determined just as much by the players that were able to kick it to right field as skill level. Well, Big Balls was one of those teams that took advantage of the massive winds and deep balls to right field today. Match that with their skill level and there was just no stopping them Big Balls from seizing the day!

All four teams that played during the 3:00 hour really deserve mention for Player of the Week! The massive gusts and sheets of rain didn't stop any of these teams from their all-important kickball responsibilities. Sparkle, We Got the Runs, Kickin it Weird, and Wild Stallions all rocked out regardless of how drenched they got!

With the torrential downpour We Got the Runs was able to pull off the playoff victory with some major contributions from Joe Thompson's spectacular outfield playing! Joe was no slouch at the plate either as he helped carry his team to the next round, that much closer to the championship!
