Story for the Ages
Red Ball and Voka Wins!!!

Red Ball and Vodka was the true Underdog on Sunday. Red Ball Vodka due to injury was short one player and had to play the playoffs with 9 players. The championship game consisted of Shaggin Balls, who made a complete 180 from the beginning of the season to become a feared powerhouse under their great leader Jamie Bosse. Shaggin Balls made quick work of the early bracket by defeating Swift Kick in the Kick in the Grass and Big Boots by more than 9 runs. The afternoon bracket was all about defense. Boozin Ballers held We Don't Stop at Third to only one run to capture a spot in the semi-final. Red Ball and Vodka decided not to let the Vatican Assassins touch home plate by shutting the Vatican Assassins out 7 to 0. The Semi-Final was set Red Ball and Vodka v. Boozin Ballers. Red Ball and Vodka and Boozin Ballers started the game off with straight nose defense. Marty Maahs refused to let a ball touch the ground. Following the lead of their stone foot captain (Jake Donahue) Red Ball and Vodka hit a triple and scored 3 runs to gain the lead. Once in the lead Red Ball and Vodka suffocating defense refused to let the Boozin Ballers score. Red Ball and Vodka held off the dominating Boozin Ballers to capture a shot at the championship against the new kids on the block Shaggin Balls. The Championship game between Red Ball and Vodka v. Shaggin Balls was one for the ages. The first 2 innings, both teams staggering defense produced shutouts not allowing a run to score. Finally, during the 4th inning Red Ball and Vodka tasted little bit of victory by taking an early lead; however, Shaggin Balls refused to go down. Shaggin Ball's girls took the lead and played small ball to orchestrate 2 runs. During the 6 inning, Red Ball and Vodka had a turn for the worse. Right fielder (Brian) made a tremendous diving catch but sustained and injury in the process and was unable to continue. Shaggin Balls could slowly taste victory coming around the corner. Sarah "Greased Lightning" Vasquez led off in the 6 inning with a perfect bunt and Red Ball and Vodka was unable to throw her out. Shaggin Balls was unable to capitalize on the perfect bunt and left the door open for Red Ball and Vodka. Going into the 7 inning the game was tied at 3. During the 7th inning both teams staggering defense held off all runners. The game went into extra innings with both teams not bending or breaking until the 9 inning Red Ball and Vodka was in scoring position. Red Ball and Vodka had only one out with a person on 2nd and 3rd, Shaggin Balls knew they had to get the out and get the ball in quickly. Red Ball and Vodka kicked a perfect ball to the right side of the field for the runner at 3rd to come home for the win.

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
