This week's Player of the Week goes to Janet Weiser of Scared Hitless! Janet is new to our volleyball league and she does not let anything get in her way of helping out her team.

This week Janet took and awesome dig and ended up with a buised forearm. She didn't let that affect her playing one bit. In fact, nobody even knew that she had sustained an injury!

Janet is one of those fabulous players who constantly has a huge smile on her face. She is great to be around, she helps out her fellow teammates, and she keeps the positive vibe going no matter what! Congratulations Janet on being Player of the Week!!

This week's Player of the Week goes to Doug from Block Party!

This guy knows that when he comes to play volleyball at the courts he's leaving everything he has on the line. Unfortunately this week it may have been a groin. What nice splits you have Mr. Doug!

We expect to see those gymnastic-like moves from our nimble ladies, but to get the same from the other half of the bench is AWESOME! We should make it clear that Doug did in fact dig that ball he was after sacrificing his body for the good of the team. Not only did they win the point in question, Block Party also won their game!

This week's Player of the Week goes to Garrett from Diggin' Deep!

Here at Underdog we enjoy a good costume night. Be it Pirates, hawaiian, or rock star night we love them all especially when our players create their own theme! On Tuesday Garrett did just that and it appears elevated his game at the same time. It may not be an official study, but fans agree that men jump higher in neon geometric socks! This Balls in...your face player doesn't let boring attire get him down.

This week Garrett ran faster, jumped higher, and spiked harder than ever before in this league! He was having a great time in a theme all his own and the positivity was contagious. The fans were loving it as this match-up for Diggin' Deep got underway. Garrett's attire proved a distracting advantage over his opponent as he hit kill after kill!

We applaud you Garrett on your Fabuous fashion choices and a big Congratulations on being our Player of the Week!!

This week's Player of the Week goes to Michelle from Diggin' Deep! This week Michelle did in fact dig deep and was able to come out and play with her team even though she wasn't feeling 100%. She did not let that stop her one bit. She served those the power serves and dug everything near her in the back row. Michelle even earned the honor of co-player of the game with Armando for their excellent serving efforts.

Michelle knows how to keep her team motivated. Volleyball certainly has it's challenges and trying moments but Michelle encourages her teammates to talk to one another and make it to that next Side-Out point.

Thank you Michelle for workin' hard while under the weather! Hopefully the team beefed up their vitamins just in case ;)

Lending a Hand
This week instead of recognizing just one player we are going to recognize a whole team! Team of the Week goes to The Team Formerly Known as Notorious DIG! These guys (meaning guys and girls) are so much fun to play. They always have a great attitude on the court. They are always having fun and helping everyone around them to do the same.

Naturally, their team has begun to grow as they play each season and tonight their opponent was short a couple players. The Team Formerly Known as Notorious DIG, and now known as the longest name ever, was kind enough to lend a couple of their extra players to the other side of the net!

They were a fantastic match-up with the Scared Hitless crew! TTFKND, shortened to protect the keyboard from unneccessary strain, is a wonderful group of players. They may not win them all but you would never know it from talking with them after a game. Congratulations The Team Formerly Known as Notorious DIG on being our Team of the Week!

This was a great week for Stacy. She gave her all this week and it was clear in her efforts on the court. Stacy was constantly on the ground digging everything in her path! She may not have gotten them all but she certainly put forth the effort.

Stacy is a positive influence in her team each week. She consistently motivates them to continue communicating and try their hardest handing out high fives like they are going out of style! Stacy always has a smile on her face and kind word for anyone around her.

Oh what a night!
This week our team of the week goes out to Scared Hitless!! This team has overcome so many obstacles this season that they deserve a little recognition.

Tonight was the first round of playoffs. Scared Hitless has been plagued by injuries and illness this season and tonight was no different. Struggling this evening to make sure they had enough amazing members to play they were able to get up to 5 players! Knowing that they were down a member on the floor they gave it their all in every step of the that first game. They were serving like crazy, diving all over the court, and talking to each other (which every team knows is the key to success in volleyball).

They came out with their first overall win of the season!!

Your positivity as a team in the face of challenge is inspiring. You guys have definitely earned those awesome team shirts and we look forward to seeing you in the next season! The first win is always the sweetest, when you finally realize all of your potential and the pieces fall in line. Congratulations Scared Hitless on a challenging season and being team of the week!
