Partying on the Block Tonight

Block Party held true to their #1 overall seed by completing their journey of a championship. In the first set it almost seemed like Block Party was baiting their opponent before winning on a 10-2 run. The second set started off the same way as the first set ended. Great sets by Jodi and Mle kept Block Party in control of the court. Honey Badgers didn't go away easy and down 17-13, they set up a huge rally and took the second set. The third and deciding championship set was one for the ages. The twin towers up front, Jeff and Doug, were huge by coming up with blocks and kills. With the third set tied at 21-21, Block Party found that next gear by taking the set and the championship on a 4-0 run! This was a very well matched game with both teams wanting to taste ultimate victory. Great job to Block Party who's now a proven, seasoned champion.

Surfin the Championship Wave

Puinsai had to battle tough against two time reigning champ Win or Lose We Booze, but pulled it out. The first set Puinsai looked well in control of the shorthanded WLB, but was faced with adversity in the second set as WLB made a charge. However, as all great championship teams do, with their back against the wall, Puinsai, behind POG Bo was able to take the third set. Bo and KK were monsters at the net, killing much of everything that was set their way, and it was the Lee gang, Danielle and Warren, setting that stuff their way. A wonderful way to cap a great season for Puinsai, and agreat challenge to the mid-core division. Congratulations.

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
