The green was out and in full affect this Sunday. Along with the shamrock run, there was the clover kick playoffs at Cleveland HS. Bajzzna's were playing quality team ball, with everyone contributing in various 'fashions', throughout their 3 win day.
Taking on Kick in my box, few mistakes were made on defense, while big kicks and hustle was between the bases. Dirty Bunts and Laterhosen were the next opponents and it was much of the same. Defense. It wins championships.
Nice playing and great spirits/mojo throughout the day. Congrats, on a job well done.

...Now if only Mariko actually ran down first, but I guess the bruised knee from diving throws was a good excuse, 'cause it was definitely fair.
But that's neither here, nor there, as She's Going Down finished the winter kickball season with a perfect record. Their one and only blemish, a tie in week 2 against Scorehouse, was nothing but a distant memory as the kids that go down first took an early lead and never looked back, avenging the tie that haunted them all season long. Playing hungry and smart, She's Going Down tacked on the runs and made the crucial outs (Ty even caught one when it really mattered and didn't have to use his face), taking home the championship on what ended up being a pretty dry day on the Nike sponsored turf.
Getting to the finals was a bit more of a chore as She's Going Down faced No Touching! in the semis. What started out as a close game that had the teams exchanging moments of kickball brilliance slowly matriculated into a win for She's Going Down. But next time She's Going down, remember not to leave early, unless you want to give the other team more triple plays. ;)

Another dry day of winter kickball(?), though windy, was great, and the games were just as nice. Facing Team Platypus first, Black Balled was in a close, led changing game, that had some nice plays. A pair of double plays, diving catches, hustling and priceless team banter.
Next game against Base Hit: I already Kicked that, they were locked in a defense and knew the ways of the winds on field 1. Making plays and having fun, the runs and win followed. Congrats, well played and deserved.
