Jason Poole
Jason Poole
Notorious D.I.G.
The first POTW for the Monday Spring Softcore League at Tubman goes to......Jason Poole of Notorious D.I.G. We think that's how the team got their name - from Jason's floor scraping digs. How a tall guy like Jason can get down that low is beyond comprehension. His massive wingspan enables him to have fantastic swinging ability which he uses to pummel opponents with strike zone kills. Game 2 of the match vs. Scared Hitless showcased this particular ability of Jason's and it was almost as if his feet were jet-propelled. If the first game of the season is an indicator of Jason's dominance on the court, then we're in for some great competition!

Serving Superstar
Tonight was Cara's night behind the serving line. She was ready to win tonight and she led her team to a 3 game sweep. She had 2 8 point serving streaks. 1 was the comeback serving streak to inch out the 2 point win. She was solid in her passing and setting game. She threw in a few big angle hits catching the team off guard. Great work Cara and all of Spike Club!

Todd Brehm
Todd Brehm
Scared Hitless
There wasn't a single person or two put together tonight who had more energy that Todd tonight and it was great! His team fed right off of his positive energy tonight for a 3-0 victory. Todd was on top of his game tonight which included a few good serving streaks and some great front row plays to send the ball back to the other team. Great work Todd and all of Scared Hitless!

Bjorn Ottosson
Bjorn Ottosson
Torn Ligaments
This week was Bjorn's week! The second play of the game he came in swinging big and hit a straight down kill. That was the first of many big hits on the night. He Bjorn was there for the big blocks and even set his teammates up a few time. And to top it off, he had some rocket serves. All around Bjorn was at the top of his game. It was a fun match to watch and he helped his team earn the W. Great job Bjorn!

This week's player of the week is long time Underdoger Collier of The Spike Club. Collier earned this Player of the Week with with awesome Captain Skills. After a first game loss, Collier called the team together, pumped them up and made the right adjustments to the line up. Spike Club came out a took game two with pride. In a close third game, Collier kept his team positive and they stuck together to clinch the match! Collier was on the top of his game as he sent back some great hits. Mary Lindenberg
Mary Lindenberg
Sloppy Sets
Player of the week was well deserved this week by Mary of Sloppy Sets. Her energy entering the building tonight said she was ready to play some volleyball and have a good time. Mary's great attitude lit up her team and they were all in great spirits. Her excitement wasn't the only this she brought to the team this week, she had some aces from behind the serving line. Her hard work in diving for the ball added to the great third game win. Great work Mary and all of Sloppy Sets! See you in the playoffs!

Erin Peterson
Notorious D.I.G.
Erin came to win in the spring playoffs of Monday night volleyball. Notorious DIG was in a fight to make it to the second round and all night long Erin helped them get the win. There wasn't a set she wasn't ready to hit and there really wasn't a ball she wouldn't pass. There where some hard hits that came her way and she passed them all like a pro. Erin helped her team turn the corner in the second 2 games and she was the night superstar. Great work Erin, good luck in the next round!
