POTW: Morgan Larson

Blockheads

The Blockheads have one more mark in the win column thanks to Morgan's end-of-the game heroics this week. With the game on the line in the bottom of the 7th inning, The Blockheads were trying to hang-on to their 1-run lead while the opponents had a few runners on base. With two outs Morgan ended up with the ball near home-plate with a runner trying to make it back to first base. He made a full out sprint towards first base to try to tag the runner out but was a few feet short of making it their on time. But no matter, his head was on a swivel and he saw a runner trying to make it to home plate to tie up the score. His lightning feet went at it again and he came down the first base line towards home plate with a victory in mind. At the last moment while the runner was making her slide into home Morgan threw the ball to make the out just moments before the runner was able to touch home plate! The game ended there 6-5 in favor of The Blockheads as they carried Morgan off on their shoulders into the sunset - at least that's how I remembered it!
