The Holy Rollers have finally done it, ladies and gentlemen! After many great seasons of regular league bowling, but without taking the big wins, The Holy Roller 6 take the Spring Sunday BTB Championship!
At the beginning of the league, some juggling from two team no-shows put Varicose Lanes in the running with a couple extra players scrapped from Pin Heads and Mighty Mugs. Their first game was going to be tough against the Holy Roller goliath. Though their team was able to pull together nearly 500 pins, Holy Rollers tacked on 620 to end the Cinderella Story early.
On the next lanes, Six Balls and a Few Nice Racks struggled early as We Hate People rolled strong. Led by a great 191 game from Jeff, We Hate People moves over to square up against Holy Rollers.
In the second game, Six Balls and a Few Nice Racks really picked up their rolling against the underdog Varicose Lanes. 584 team pins from Six Balls came from all team members bringing up their scores from the first game. Varicose Lanes lose in the end, but pick up the Spirit Prize for a season full of high fives and great pose striking along with Mighty Mugs, who's costumes were second to none throughout the season.
In the final round, We Hate People was able to push up their score from the first round, but another signature Holy Roller game took them out. Jenny's 170 game and Mike's 188 (who closed out the first five frames) were the two highest scores of the game.
After a great season, Holy Rollers are finally able to keep their bowling strong through the finals and take the championship. Great games and a great season!
Holy wow. Taking game two to the next level, Austin easily caps out his score while adding almost a hundred pins to his first game! Great rolling, sir!
