It was a familiar scene in the championship game at The Friendly House on Wednesday night. Live Free or Die Awesome was the #1 seed and favored to take it all.
Balls of Fury was the #2 seed and struggled to get to the championship game. This promised to be a good match up for the title.
Game 1 went to Live Free. Back came Balls of Fury with a vengeance to take game 2 and 3.
Live Free or Die Awesome wasn't going out without a fight and they came back to win the next 2 games to give them a 3-2 lead. It was a continuous back and forth battle between the two teams that left you on the edge of your seat.
The match now tied at 4 and time allowing only 1 more final game. Winner takes all. The look on every players face was full of sweat as they tried to figure out how to defeat one another.
3-2-1 Dodge Ball! Both teams came out with a roar of thunder. Throwing lightning quick balls through the air. Live Free playing hard, but Balls of Fury wanted a title to add to their franchise.
It came down to 3 players from Balls of Fury to 1 Live Free. A ball was thrown by Balls of Fury. It was caught, but bobbled in the air. You see every detail of the player focusing on the ball as sweat drips down his face. Then, the finishing blow is sent as a Balls of Fury player throws a ball straight at the chest to disrupt his focus and get the final out.
A game played by many, but won by a valiant team. Balls of Fury finally took down their foes to start the bragging right. Congratulations to Balls of Fury, winning the title 5 games to 4.
Who needs Chuck Norris when you have Amy Bunker on your team? Balls of Fury has to call Amy every Wednesday to make sure she will grace them with her presence.
Amy is so good that Balls of Fury has decided to erect a statue in her honor outside The Friendly House. She stepped on to the court showing no mercy as she ruled the court.
In one particular game, it was a showdown between her and another player. Amy was found without a ball. She simply pulled out the mighty Jedi trick where she waved her hand and magically appeared a ball in her hands as she got the last out to win the game.
Amy plays so well, that her normal aroma is called Awesomeness. In the 2nd match, Cory from Balls of Fury took a page out of Amy's book and tried to mimic her the best she could, but there will only be one Amy Bunker. Out of fear and awesomeness, she gets the Player of the Week award. Congratulations!
