FIREBALLERZ...Taking it Up A Notch

To some, Dodgeball is simply a game. To others, it's a lifestyle. Some get it, some don't have a clue. However, if you watch close enough, you can see when dodgeballers make the transformation. When they morph from a player merely going through the motions into an instinctive and calculating dodgeball warrior.
Malia Page came into the league as all rookies do. You hear the opening day speech, maybe retain one or two of the rules but eventually you're thrown or in some cases, dragged out onto the court and you end up picking up the game "the hard way." You take your licks but in time you learn the tricks.
Malia decided enough was enough, and flipped the switch. No longer would she go out with a fight. In both of the Fireballerz games this week, Malia showcased some newly acquired skills. However, it was in her team's final match of the night where her new and improved game helped the most. In an extremely close match against a very strong veteran GOT BALLS? squad, Malia was no longer the easy target but played like a veteran to help her team finish on top in one of biggest nail-biters of the season.
So Congrats to Malia Page, OUR MONDAY NIGHT UNDERDOG DODGEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK!!!
