AA--DIVISION TWO CHAMPS!!!

AA is on a roll. After plenty of long playoff runs, the Men's team took Champ's status this last fall season while the CO-ED team lost a hard fought battle in finals of the same season. Even as the late-fall has been underway, the AA squad has been experiencing some residual success but nothing at the moment can compare to the show they put on at this year's Rain Bowl.
There were no clear favorites to win the tournament as the games started on opening day but by day's end a few teams started separating themselves from the pack.
Teams like AA, Roustabouts, and Back that Pass Up, all the usual top performers among their respective leagues started moving up the standings. Unfortunately for AA, a key injury almost toppled their building momentum.
In a crucial game against a long-time opponent in Roustabouts, AA QB and Captain Tommy Moore was taking the snaps as usual, throwing touchdowns, and keeping his team in the game. The game was close and competitive but Moore was operating on all engines and could do no wrong until one play where Tommy was forced to scramble. The prolific passer was able to get the first down but immediately ran out of bounds and went down with a bad hamstring injury.
After an injury time-out the AA crew re-grouped and knew it was now or never. If they could pull together and beat the Roustabouts squad now, they had a chance of still taking the Tournament.
AA would hang on to win that game which would proved to be more than just an emotional win. The next day, the AA squad would go flawless on the day and face once again, a Roustabouts team bent on revenge. Ironically, Roustabouts too, lost their captain and a key player in Amanda Perez in their quarterfinal match. With no excuses and no love lost, AA and Roustabouts would take the field once again but this time in the Division 2 finals.
As Moore stood on the sidelines, AA did not seem a bit nervous as the game began but it was clear they knew how dangerous the Roustabouts could be. Even so, the entire team stepped it up big time making big play after big play. Roustabouts did the stuff they normally do and answered back with big plays of their own but in the end it wouldn't be enough. AA built a comfortable lead and did more than enough to hold on to it.
So Congrats to Alcoholics Anonymous, you're the 2012 Rainbowl Division 2 Champs!
