POTW: Jimmy Gutierrez
Sex Commune
Watching the Sex Commune torching the lanes in game two last night, I was reminded of something I forgot to mention in my little speech at the beginning of the night. So I'm using Jimmy as the example here. There's an individual score cap of 205 per game! If you roll a 300, congratulations, give yourself a pat on the back and go tell your mother. But at Big Turkey, it still counts as a 205. He didn't quite break it, but Jimmy rolled a 195 in helping his team beat Brutal Bowlers, the defending champs. Nate gets honorable mention for pitching in a 190 in the same game. Congratulations, guys! What are they teaching you on that commune??

POTW: Cheryl Gillson
Brutal Bowlers
Cheryl's player of the week award has absolutely nothing to do with her bowling. But when it's ninja night, and someone walks up to you, shows you her business card, and the actual job title on the card under her name reads "Rogue Nation Foundation President/Office Ninja"... well, that's just kinda badass.

Condolences this week go out to players on Revenge of the Safety Pins, who had a total score of 1111 pins and yet somehow got 0 points. Ouch.

POTW: A.J Schultz
Spare Me
There's a legendary bowler in Big Turkey lore named Lucas. He looked kinda like Paul Bunyun (only shorter and without an ox), and man, that dude could roll. The tales have grown to Sasquatch and Loch Ness Monster proportions over the years, but that bearded, bourbon drinking hero routinely maxed out at the 205 score limit. On prom night, Schultz pulled off a Lucas, rolling a 157 and a 211 (capped at 205) to help Spare Me to a stellar team score of 1253. Congrats to you and your team on a great score.

POTW: Kea Gobet
Spare Me Strike This
Spare Me Strike This gets a group player of the week award for going into the playoffs as the top team and solidifying their position at the top with an almost unbeatable team score of 1190 on Wednesday night as they beat the defending champions, the Brutal Bowlers. But since I have to pick someone, I'll give it to Kea for her consistently strong scores, this week rolling 133 and 157. Nicely done. One more week to go, everyone!

The Drinking Team With A Bowling Problem
Jason's new favorite number: 155. If I'm reading the beer-soaked scoresheets correctly, it appears that Jason rolled a 155 in both playoff games to help The Drinking Team to the league victory. Congratulations to Jason and the whole team!
