The Turkey would just like to say that it was very happy to kick off this Spring league, and even more excited that two of our favorite teams (Red Bowls and EPD) are back to join us once again! Also exciting is the arrival of We're Here For The Beer!, a team new to Hollywood, but not to Underdog bowling—welcome! They sure knew how to come in with style, turning in a bunch of collected coupons for Winterhawks tickets, and having to cap one of their team members. Can anyone argue with giving the coveted POTW to a man who just rolled a perfect game? We didn't think so. Rolling a 300 is so rare that it only happens a handful of times a year at the bowling alley altogether, and if a player is in a sanctioned league they actually get a special ring. This week's player of the week brought us a life lesson. You know maybe your mother told you never to fly a kite near power lines. Your grandfather might of told you never ever go swimming in a thunderstorm. When Ben Nelson screamed, "Whoa! This shirt smells like the dead guy I bought it from." He reminded us under no circumstances do you wear a shirt to bowling from an estate sale without washing it first.

Just when the Turkey was fairly certain we'd have to Roshambo for the No-Tap champions, Wes went ahead and pulled out the No-Tap play of the year! With a NT in frame 9, Wes pulled out a spare and a NT to finish out frame 10 of the second game and lift his team to No-Tap victory. Did we mention he was the last player on his team? Quite the nail-biter if we say so ourselves—great job Wes!
