ANOTHER GREAT NIGHT FOR THE BIG TURKEY! (disclaimer: the Big T's allowed to use all caps because he's a mascot with an obnoxious dance. For the integrity of the league and yourself don't even think about pulling a big T at work, on craigslist or via text). The summer league brought fresh faces to Hollywood; some old, some new, some borrowed and some blue. Minus the blue. Because Player of the Week, Molly, and her Indy #1 crew left no time to be of a blue hue. Your wit and skillz helped ensure a great opening night for the league. Thanks for being YOU and not BLUE!

Choosing player of the week is a tough job this week, as the nerd alert was in code red (a high start of alarm). The big turkey awards Indy #3 aka Bowlies, aka Holy Rollers, aka Bowlshiits aka the bowls of feces for last night's pre- and post-stretch worhty performance. Against all odds those who are still unnamed bowled a great four games and had tons of fun along the way. Thanks to all the geeks, dorks and dorkesses for another great night!

Valeria? Is that you? The Big Turkey Skillz Ms. Church demonstrated raised Hollywood Bowl to orange alert on the Doppelganger Radar last night. That's right, Val (or perhaps her gorgeous-haired, not-so-evil twin) earned Playa' of the Week status for bringing her game face and cracking up the Big T. Dangling Modifiers let it all hang out and Indy #3 earned their acclaim by rising above in the face of lane snags. Thanks to all and Hats Off (oh wait, that's next week...)!

BIG Hat night was a BIG hit! While some of the big turkey hooligans (ahem, G.Slutz, cough cough) chose to creatively revolt against the night with their wee little hats, others let their inner pimp shine through. Still others chose to secure random household items to their heads. Darcy of the Alley Catz revolutionized big hat night with a biodegradable flowerpot and a helmet's innards. He rolled gangsta "Pot Head" style, leaving the competition in the gutter.

Dangling Modifiers
After the Thursday's display, it was clear the Dangling Modifiers must've traded their sentence-parsing skills for strikes and spares on the black market. Jake the Snake rocked out with his preposition out, driving a very long way to prove his devotion to the team. Next week will be an excellent chance for all to display beautiful feats of teamwork as we gear up for "chose your own theme" night. I'm sure you won't let the Big Turkey down!
