Team Jam
Though every team brought a ton of Underdog spirit opening night of the Winter League at Pro 300 (dancing, drinking, cheering, and more drinking), Team Jam It! stood out from the crowd. A special shout out to Ed McMan, who hasn't bowled a game since the dawn of time (when you had to set up your own pins and games only cost 35 cents), but still managed to lead the pack with high scores for the team in both games! Nice job guys!

Indy #1
This Wednesday was Pajama night, and there were a lot of great PJs out there- but Lisa's PJs stood out from the rest. We did not even realize that they made bright red footie pajamas in adult sizes- turns out, they do! Red pajamas, red hair, firey red spirit- we love it! Keep up the good work Pin Pals!

Gutter DONE
This season has featured a lot of firsts for Jess- she picked up her first spare and got her first Spirit Ticket last week.

But this week was huge for our green bowler. Not only did Jess throw her first strike, she threw THREE STRIKES in the same game- leaving her a final score in the triple digits- another first!! Jess's attitude, spirit, sportsman-like conduct, and squeals helped her eke out POW ahead of some very spirited teams (Baby Punchers, we're looking at you).

A special shout-out to Balls of Justice II, we saw the kilt and sequined hat...

THRUST
THRUST and Baby Punchers had an incredibly close game this week. Throughout all the ups and downs, both teams maintained a great sportsman-like attitude and kept things rowdy- their spirited cries echoed through the bowling alley. After all was said and done, THRUST eked out a victory by a very slim margin of only a few points, thanks in part to an unprecedented game bowled by Matt Johnson. Not only did he bowl over 180 in both games (a personal best), but Matt Johnson also bowled his very first turkey! After his proverbial turkey cherry was popped, a round of high-fives and congratulations were issued by all- and then we stayed to cuddle.

Congrats, Matt Johnson!

Gutter DONE
Jeff "The Nordge" Dawson hypnotized us this week with his bowling form. He keeps it real every week and reminds us all of the working man, beer-guzzling, butt-hanging-out-of-pants roots of bowling. No belt can contain The Nordge, and no pin can evade his precision throws- it's a deadly and disgusting combination. Underdog salutes you Jeff.

The Bowled and the Beautiful
This entire season, The Bowled and the Beautiful have been a fantastically spirited team. Although they did not win the Spirit Award this season, they were extremely close- and with good reason. This reporter has never seen such fabulous turkey dancing or regular dancing in her life. Thanks to Alicia's take-no-prisoners attitude and amazing choreography, the entire bowling alley was entertained. We can only hope for a moonwalk next season... until then- congrats Alicia!
