This was a game for the ages. Both teams started off strong in the first inning offensively, with Scared Hitless leading 4-3 after the 1st inning. Scared Hitless started out scoring early and often racking up several runs in each of the first 5 innings. The game seemed like it could have been a blow out, but then the Hit and Runs came all the way back from a 11-3 deficit in the 5th inning. They scored 1 run in the 5th, followed by a HUGE 7 run inning in the 6th. They sent 12 men and women to the plate in the bottom of the 6th. The game was tied after 6 innings and the defense for the Hit and Runs allowed zero runs in each of the last two innings. Finally, it was the bottom of the 7th inning. Leadoff hitter for inning, Matt, digs in with the game tied, fouls one off and then.........goes deep into left field for the walk off home run! Matt was triumphantly running the bases with the cheer of team as they met him at home plate. What a way to end a good season!!!!
