Indy #1, Pardi Gras, Sofa King Badazz, The Bloopers, The Eradicators
POTW: Orion Ludlow
Team Angst
Posing for the photographer, Orion becomes the kicking feet of Underdog Kickball at Unthank with a ball we shall forever contend was boomeraning back to fair territory at the time the photo was taken. Great times, great kicks. Well done, Orion.
Indy #1, R/West , Team Angst, The Management, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: jennifer hebbler
The Bloopers
Jennifer takes a big one for The Bloopers and gets her team on the rally train. A perfect slide almost put her beneath a throw from the pitcher. On the downside, the throw connects squarely with her head. On the upside, she touches third before the tag and keeps the rally going! With her team rallying around her, Bloopers takes a big win against their old nemesis, The Eradicators!
Indy #1, R/West , Team Angst, The Bloopers, The Management
POTW: Brad Ragan
The Eradicators
Brad made an unbelieveable catch tonight. A ball was kicked down the third base line out into left field when Brad's teammate tipped the ball as they were going for the catch. Brad saw the tip, slid, and somehow caught the ball before it hit the ground - saving a run from scoring. Brad Ragen's catlike reflexes give him the POW.
Indy #1, Pardi Gras, Sofa King Badazz, The Eradicators, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Jason McMahan
The Management
Well of course we all need to suck up to The Management at one point or another but not all Management will put their own body on the line for you. Jason will. Playing second base in a very close game towards the final few innings, Jason went out of his way to make it to a fly ball and he sure put on a show doing so! Back-peddling into the outfield Jason made a finger-tip catch just moments before a collision with the right fielder and then promptly hitting the ground hard on his back to knock the wind out of himself. It was an amazing play but even more amazing because he barely took a second on the ground with the wind knocked out of him before giving high-fives to his teammates!
Indy #1, Team Angst, The Bloopers, The Eradicators, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Austin Bain
R/West
With just a few minutes to go until gametime, RWest had only a few people and looked like they'd need to forfeit. Luckily with some late arrivals and Austin stepping up to sub for RWest, they were able to field a team of 9 and even win the game! Austin started out with one of the first hits for RWest and almost was able to score but was just a bit short unfortunately. He continued to play well against a team that he had many friends on and they let him know their feelings by giving him a hard time. He took the good-spirits and showed them he should have been drafted as a player as well. Way to go Austin!
Indy #1, Pardi Gras, R/West , Sofa King Badazz, The Management
POTW: Blooper's infield
The Bloopers
The Blooper's pulled off an out of this world play on 9/23/09 vs. the Thee Angry Dragons. With a runner on first, the ball was kicked to the pitcher, the pitcher then threw the ball to the shortstop, who then threw the ball to the second baseman, who then threw the ball to the rover at second base for the out! The fan went wild!
Indy #1, R/West , Sofa King Badazz, The Bloopers, The Eradicators
POTW: Steve Hughes
The Management
Steve Hughes came up to the plate with the bases loaded Monday night, classic rock blastin in the background or maybe techno, and sent that ball packin' to right field for a grand slam!!! Not only did this blow the game open, it electrified The Management and led them to increase profits! Neat'o Gang!
Indy #1, Pardi Gras, Team Angst, The Management, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Shaun Rommel
Sofa King Badazz
Captain Shaun Rommel had The Bloopers shakin in their boots on Wednesday. He struck immediate fear into the hearts of his opponents as he led his team onto the battlefield. Not only did he make one hook catches, he did it in a style that Johnny Depp would envy!
Indy #1, The Bloopers, The Eradicators, The Management, Thee Angry Dragons
POTW: Marty Brunkow
Pardi Gras
Mighty Marty Brunkow scored the go-ahead run that sealed Pardi Gras's victory with the most graceful, elegant, and elusive slide/roll at home plate. And he did it in shorts!!
Indy #1, Pardi Gras, R/West , Sofa King Badazz, Team Angst
POTW: Duane Hastings & Tracy Ammons
The Management
The Management were led to victory by two players this week. Tracy was unstoppable at the plate and when she ran all you could see was a flash of pink from the color of her socks. Sir Hastings the Horseman, galloped onto the field with his horse head and boom box. That's what I'm talkin about!
Indy #1, R/West , Team Angst, The Bloopers, The Management
POTW: All the ladies
The Eradicators
The ladies of The Eradiators showed their true colors on Wednesday night. They took one for the team and made it possible for both teams to enjoy the good 'ole game of kickball. Thanks ya'll!
