The fields were fittingly colorful today for the fall softcore #1 playoffs games with yellow, bright pink, and even flourescent orange. The Wet Hot Pink Team was just too much to handle however. In the first matchup of their day they faced the dangerous Shock 'n' Awe team who shocked the #1 seed last week in the first round of the playoffs. The Wet Hot offense was too much to handle for Shock 'n' Awe as Wet Hot pink won 44-20. Then in the championship against the very solid #2 seeded Balls and Dolls team, Wet Hot pink turned on the defense, allowing only 6 points in the first half. Balls and Dolls just couldn't get anything going offensively until too late in the game and the Wet Hot Pink squad went on to win 42-22. Pierre Harper was all over the field for Pink as he played great defense and turned in a solid offensive showing today. Also, Julie Brown came up with several key catches to keep drives going and put points on the board. Wet Hot Pink are the champs!

After a somewhat disappointing regular season, the Hardcore Fun Seekers of old showed up and played amazingly well. Matt Muller, Bill Woodruff, and Angie Zielinski were all a huge part of their playoff success. Matt moved his team down the field while playing QB, Angie was on the recieving end of a few of Matt's passes, and Bill was a defensive stud. The HFS team won their first matchup of the day 48-38 against the always tough #2 seeded PDX cons. Then they faced the top seeded AA team who had been playing well all season. The championship game was a shootout in the first half as the two teams were scoring TD after TD. But the second half defense by the Hardcore Funs Seekers turned out to be the deciding factor as they pulled out a 48-35 victory.
