  Your Mom

Your Mom brings home the bacon...
...and by bacon, I mean championship.

That's right kickball lovers, Your Mom has finally done it and done it in style. After a long day of 6 games out at the Red Rubber Showdown as team Happy Birthday and winning in their division, Your Mom came out to Unthank with confidence and a heavy dose of exhaustion. Playing nine in the field for the tournament and continuing to be short players for the Unthank championship, they had all cards stacked against them coming into the afternoon.

In their first game, they managed to keep Drank Epidemic down to two runs with an impeccable defense they would carry with them throughout the day. A couple big offensive kicks put a number of runs on the board and showed everyone Your Mom wasn't going to make it easy for any team to take them out.

The great match-up of two veteran, championship winning teams, Blue Balls and Orange-a-tang was bound to be a battle royale. Orange-a-tang's defense was able to hold Blue Balls to a mere 4 runs through the game, but just couldn't get their kicks out of Blue Ball hands and were amazingly shut out in the game.

After taking out The Freeballers in their first game of the day, BarRoom Heroes squared off against last season's champions, Ball Stars. It was quite a battle, indeed. Defenses on both sides were making amazing plays and a ton of well placed kicks were magically grabbed up by members of both teams. Ball Stars were able to make just a few more big kicks and pulled ahead enough to take the game.

Your Mom's second game put them against Blue Balls. Again, incredible defense and a few clutch kicks on both sides was the order of the day, with Your Mom just able to eek one run ahead to put them into the finals.

It would be Ball Stars versus Your Mom for the championship. Ball Stars attempting to defend their title and Your Mom looking to pick up their first. The stakes were high and a certain aroma of... wait, what is that... old beer? Yes a certain aroma of old, stale beer filled the air. It was magical.

Throughout the entire game, defense defense defense. Kicks on either side just could not get themselves into the field and out of the defense's hands. A single here and a double there, but nothing big. Your Mom had kept Ball Stars off the scoreboard all throughout the game and were up to kick with 2 runs on the board. Bases loaded, Mr. Fantasy up to kick and cold blasts the ball out over the head of the fielder to right-center. This ball was straight creamed and all the way around the bases he went for the triple! Throughout the game, Your Mom's defense could not make an error. It was... like clockwork?

A great day for kickball and another champion crowned. Until next season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
