Summer Outdoor Rubber Co-Ed Dodgeball at Jefferson HS Wednesdays

Team Shenanigans showed up ready to play Wednesday night in festive hula inspired costumes. Sarah put her sewing skills on display alongside her Dodgeball skills. There is no doubt that the grass skirts and tops inspired the team to move their hips allowing them to dodge and sway with the grace of hula dancers. Great outfits Sarah!

The Underdog player of the week is the catch-master Titus "sticky fingers 2.0" Leo of the very special Ninja Unicorns. Sticky fingers 2.0 managed to set a new underdog record with 19 catches over two games to beat the previous record 17.5 catches set by sticky fingers 1.0 in 1979. With 19 catches Titus made them count by bringing in a total 11 players off the Ninja Unicorn bench and into the game. Great teamwork Titus and congratulations on your achievement.

The the player of the week is Eddie "the eagle" Sherman of the Manifest Destiny Strikes Dodge City dodgeball team. Eddie had a stellar performance with 17 outs and 5 catches for the evening. Eddie is the heart of the manifest team with his encouragement from the sideline and his the occasional coaching tweak he'll throw in between games.

The Underdog player of the week is the super sub Nicole Maher! Nicole came off the Manifest Destiny Strikes Dodge City bench and scored ten outs and had four catches leading her team deep into the playoffs. Nicole's sportsmanship and team spirit are also worth mentioning as her team played down a player to start Nicole played "Seventh woman" routing her team on. Great games Nicole!
