Spring league of Underdog Sports League softball got off to an amazing start at Rose City Park. Spirits were high, the music was pumping, game faces were seen on all teams...not even an extremely muddy infield could dampen the mood of the players. The third game of the day introduced us to Don Head of team Frybread Mafia, a "young" man playing in his first ever softball game. Unfazed by the the pressure of the moment and good humor ribbing of his teammates, Don played solid defense and had a couple of hits...and in the words of Don, one of the best parts of his first game was that "I didn't get hurt." Don, please don't let this award make you unbearable around your teammates for the rest of the season!

Soaring Marlins
Bryan was the model of consistancy for the Soaring Marlins on Sunday. Not only did he pitch both the games of the double header - doing a fantastic job, but he had numerous big hits. Bryan also kept his team loose with humor. Great day of softball, Bryan. Underdog is happy to have you in our league.

Laura is this week's POTW for an outstanding high flying effort in the second game of a double header. Laura came up big with some key hits and a tremendous throw home for an out. It was her cannon of a throw from right field that was right on the money to get a crucial out in the game. She had the team fired up and the fans jumping out of their seats after one heck of a play. Great game Laura!

Tricia is this week's POTW for an awesome game at shortstop and great hitting. She did it all today from the highlight reel plays in the field to her outstanding plate presence. Tricia took a high fastball and smashed it into right field for a two run homer. Her solid play and great hitting was a crucial part for her team's victory. Great job Tricia!
