Brad was a rock on the pitchers mound today for the Ball Busters, helping to a crucial tie and a monster victory. The Ball Busters started out the season with a big three points in the standings thanks to Brad's solid play and fantastic attitude. A tip of the Underdog Hat goes off to Mr. Joyner - Great Job!

Todd "The Big Hurt" Rucker pitched two marvelous games of softball and fielded his position like a Gold Glove winner, during one stretch, it seemed like he was making every out - pouncing off the mound like a half crazed Panther. Great job out there today Big Hurt.

You might have assumed she was the team mom when she showed up with oranges at the front end of a scheduled double header, but after watching her play at third base you would have realized how silly that assumption was. Combine that with Jenny's batting prowess, and her willingness to take her third base skills to the Tee Ball Dropouts--just to fill out their depleted roster--and you have the player of the week.

Misfits Take the Crown

Misfits Win the Championship!!!

On a beautiful day for softball, the Misfits outlasted the Tee Ball Dropouts to claim the championship for Fernhill Park.

For the right to play the Misfits, the Dropouts had to beat the Ball Busters in the opening game, and riding a red hot offense, achieved just that.

The championship game had everything you could ever ask for; there was back and forth scoring, close plays at the plate, timely hitting and a walk off hit to win the game. Seven innings couldn't decide this one either and in the bottom of the 8th, the Misfits put one extra run across to take the title.

Great game and a great season!
