Firstbasemen Kimi Ross of Sons of Pitches put on a defensive clinic Sunday. Playing against an Intoxicated that can flat out rip the ball, Kimi managed to catch and knock down hot shot after hot shot. Kimi made plays on balls that many people would have gotten out of the way of. It was a great effort in a very tight game between two top teams.
Misfits, Ring Ding Dingers, Sons of Pitches, Upper Deckers
Ring Ding Dingers Mash Way to Multiple Victories!
In the first two games of the day the Dingers came out fast and strong. An all out onslaught of offense and a clinic on defense allowed the Dingers to easy handle two of the better teams in the league.
Led by the likes of Brandon Bowman and Lorilyn Crum the Dingers were able to score 51 runs on the day in two convincing victories giving notice that they are a force to be reckoned with.
In very wet and less than ideal conditions Save the Whales came out and played a very fun and competitive game against a great team in Where's My Pitches At?
After getting down early the Whales could have mailed it in but didn't. They played hard and had fun, testing the Pitches along the way.
Jayne helps Misfits scrap for double-header split.
Scrappy pitching effort limits Intoxicated just enough.
The Misfits came out firing on all cylinders Sunday. Leading the charge was Ron Jayne. Ron's go right at ya pitching style kept the action moving and interesting. Working different parts of the strike zone Ron was able to keep hitter off balance just enough, allowing his defense to make some plays.
His efforts kept his team in the game against a very good Ring Ding Dingers team. Two big innings were the difference. In game two Intoxicated was able to put up 20 runs but Ron was able to get the big outs when needed.
It was some great action. All I have to say after seeing Ron's performance is, " Nice work and ice that arm Ron".
"Lets Play two" Pitches and Throws had a doubleheader for the ages. They prepared for their game with a long tailgate led by Dan the man. This guy can throw them down with the best of them. He was dancing, raping and hopping all over the field. Everyone made sure to keep their eyes on dan, for their was laughter to be had. He had strike outs, home runs, missed catches, and balls to the face. It was an overall effort from Dan and the Pitches and Throws!

Thompson tosses triple-header tri-fecta!
Upper Deckers
In a league filled with big hitters it was pitcher Glenn Thompson who made it happen. In the first two games of the championship run Glenn kept his team in the games until the offense woke up. In the finals Glenn was given a lead but, hard a hitting Sons of Pitches team fought back to tie the game with eight runs in the bottom of the seventh. Glenn then held them to one run in the next inning, securing the title for his team. Truly a top shelf performance.
