Doin' it for the Jetboat!!

This is crazy. A new captain for Ball Me, Maybe

The new look Red Balls AKA Ball Me, Maybe came to the field ready to win and show they don't need the night wolf!

Taking the field against one of the top teams of all team in all of Underdog Kickball, Blue Balls. They fell behind early but never gave up. They played really hard to fight to get back into the game. The fight paid off. They tied the game in the 6th inning and held off a 7th inning rally by Blue balls to force an extra inning.

In the 1st extra inning the game was pretty routine. But in the 9th inning there Ball Me had a runner on 3rd base with 1 out and a well placed bunt down the third base line caused a third baseman to throw the runner out a 1st base but left the door open for runner to score the winning run.

This is how we like to start out the fall league with great team playing hard and up and coming teams showing they are a force to be reckoned with. I can't wait to see how this season will play out!

Sophia is always enjoying herself on the kickball field. She plays hard, subs for teams if needed and is always laughing with opposing teams when she is catching or on the sidelines. Sophia is what kickball is all about and the whole league would tell you that she deserves to be player of the week just for being out there and making the day that much more fun for everyone. For her awesomeness on the field and in the stands Sophia is our player of the week!

Greg really knows how to make Allen feel welcome.

During the Jetboat! vs Manifest Destiny game we had the return of Allan. While Allan was playing to the crowd he turned his back on Greg and Greg capitolized on the opportunity to grab the player of the week honor!

With Allan's back turned chatting with the crowd, Greg unloaded an amazing, yet foul, kick the found the back of Allan's head. WHACK was the sound followed by, WELCOME BACK ALLEN! It was a site to see and it was great to see Allen hadn't lost that lovin feeling.

Nice work Greg for seeing an opportunity and jumping on it!

Haley is awesome...'nough said. She is the Mother of the Daddies and does a great job as captain. She is the perfect example of good sportsmanship and keeps things fun and light even in the midst of serious kickball at Unthank. Haley also had some great catches in her game this week against Ball Me Maybe which helped her team to a big victory. For her kick"baller"ness she is our Player of the Week.

Honorable mention: On a side note, Haley is one of the many Unthankers who have tied the knot in the past few months, so to everyone who has been married lately, Congratulations from Underdog!

Blue Balls

Vibol led his team to victory to close out the day this sunday. It was a close game and every inning Vibol was encouraging his team to score some runs. He was able to stay cool through to tough innings and prevent Orange a tang from having a big inning. In the bottom of the 7th this lead to his team to a walk of kick! It was a great game for both teams, as Sheed would say it "Both teams played hard."

Andrew B was Aware on this day. He was covering ground at SS making plays, while adding kicks and getting on base. He also added the play of the day, pegging out the runner right before home plate robbing a solo home run. Having fun, still hustle and making plays regardless of score, also got'em the 'sportsmanship band' from the Dream Squashers. Nice playing y'all, keep having fun

For being a solid captain and making one of the best plays ever while playing pitcher, Brandon Thompson is our Player of the Week.
