Champs

  Sons of Pitches

2012 Berkeley Fall League Champs
A true team effort

A fitting championship game was played at Berkeley Park Sunday between #1 seed Sons of Pitches vs. #2 seed The Justice Avengers. Both teams displayed their softball skills throughout the season and were deserving of a chance to claim the coveted Underdog softball champ title...thank goodness the rain held off long enough to settle this highly anticipated match up.
Sons of Pitches pitcher Scotty S was focused from the get go...finally getting his "feared" knuckle curve over the plate for a couple of strikes during the game. Taking a commanding 16-5 lead into the top of the 4th, it appeared to The Justice Avengers may have finally met their match. Not so fast proclaimed Ricky and a few other teammates...the rally cap/ shirtless last few innings appeared to throw Sons of Pitches off their "A" game for a few minutes. Sons of Pitches regained their focus and cruised to a 28-19 victory.
Congrats to Sons of Pitches...a class act team deserving of the title of Berkeley Park Fall Ball Champs!

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
