With each team having already played a game earlier in the day to quality for the championship game, both Batty McBatface and Misfits appeared on paper to be two evenly matched teams. They did not disappointment, with an epic battle at Rose City Park on Sunday. This was a back and forth, highly competitive game through five innings...a tie score of 13-13 heading into the top of the 6th had everyone in attendance on the edge of their seats for the last two innings. The Misfits' bats caught fire in the top of the 6th, scoring seven runs and putting a needed cushion against an extremely tough opponent. This was all pitcher Zach Frederickson needed to get them to the finish line, pitching two scoreless innings to secure the coveted championship wristbands. Congrats to team Misfits for an outstanding season!
