2nd game on a rainy opening day and the field was already sloppy.!? That didn't stop either side from playing, especially Scorehouse, who was putting up runs and playing team D throughout.
Darcy was leading the hustle touching on the bases on a infield single. Adding a jumping catch in CF on D and having fun. Nice work y'all.

Bottom of 7. WoManBearPig had scratched and clawed their way back into the game, down 2 in the last half inning. Adam Wilcox steps in and crushes a ball deep to left, but as fate has it, the ball had too much hook on it, and lands foul. 123 Not It!'s catcher turns and says "that was game right there..." and then Adam smiles, and takes the next pitch WAY over the right fielder's head, completing the comeback and giving Peninsula Park it's big dramatic moment for Week 2. Way to go WoManBearPig and Adam for your late game heroics!

Humpback to the Future

In a game marred with injuries, mishaps, shenanigans and the sort, Humpback To The Future gave us a feel good story that connected the entire field. Jordan Card, Humpback's "little engine that could", famous for manbunting did the unthinkable. Little Jordy went yard. With a shot to right field, Humpback pulled ahead and didn't look back. HUMP HUMP HUMP IT UP!

Down big early, the Ball Kickers looked shaken and ready to hang it up... but then Nick SIpowicz used all of his frame, leaping off the ground to snare a bullet headed to left. In that single moment, the Ball Kickers got a shot of adrenaline and started a spirited comeback that culminated in one of the most entertaining games of the season at Peninsula. Way to fire your team up Nick!

The team has always been above average defensively, but this season, the kicks are coming around. The baserunners are being more aggressive, and the chips are falling their way.

Playoff time is the time to peak, and this season, their talent may not be "wasted".

Best Little Scorehouse in PDX

Speed kills. It's the reason that Scorehouse survived to play another day at Peninsula. Down a run with one out, Darcy cranked a liner out to right field, and turned the jets on. Almost lapping the runner in front of him, Darcy made the turn around third before the Ball Kickers could react, touching home and ending the game. Big play Darcy!
