Spring Softcore/Midcore Co-ed Volleyball at Fernwood Mondays

Player of the week goes to none other than Carlos Galvan this week! In the first game of the night, Great Setspectations was there a little early to get some last minute practice in before taking on their opponent. And leading that charge was Carlos! He did a great job in cheering on this team and helping to get those hits in! New to Portland but not to Volleyball, Carlos helped his team put up a great fight tonight. Not to mention a few great hits on his part too! Underdog is lucky to have this great addition to Portland!

The whole Great Setspectations team did great tonight. Be ready Mondays, this team is only getting better and will be looking for that W next week! Great job to Carlos and the whole team!

Fernwood was full a hard hit, great saves and big blocks this week as E! True Volleyball Story and the Thunder Bumpers squared off for the second time this season. The main gym was pumped up this week. Again the Thunder Bumpers got the best of E! with a 2-1 but they couldn't have done it with out the big blocking that Rachel M brought to the court this week. At all the right moments she was at the net ready to put the ball back in E! court. They sent some hard hits her way and she handled each and everyone of them. Not only at the net was she killing it, but she also sent some deep serves their way. Combined with a great team effort, on both sides of the court, these friendly rivals put on a great match for others to watch. Way to go Rachel and both Thunder Bumpers and E! True Volleyball Story. Great game!

Player of the week goes to none other that Tabitha from Unsafe Sets! In a double header for the team tonight, she did a great job keeping her team pumped up and focused on the match. Their first game was a tough one against the 2nd seeded Not The Face but Tabitha had great court management and kept the team spirit high. But when game 2 rolled around she was setting her team up for some great hits. She was in the right place all the time to make plays happen, not to mention her serves are hard and tough to pass. Great game to Tabitha and the entire Unsafe Sets team! See you in 2 weeks for the playoffs!
