Summer Softcore Kickball at Sewallcrest Park Sundays

Another season, another championship for Cool Runnings. Comprised of most of the midcore champs from Red Rubber, Cool Runnings proved again that they don't have many holes in the field, with great pitching from J.J., solid corner play from Adam and Red, and the lightning quick Jon behind the plate. Some gritty plays from sisters Katie and Erin helped out and the gamesmanship of "Fair" Blair and LIndsay put them over the top. Nice win champs!

Cool Runnings

Some players are so loud and brash, you almost want them to get hit with the ball... for example, let's take Eric "Red" Russell. Red is a good dude. Red sometimes doesn't know when to get out of his own way. Today, Red got hit, not once, but twice in the noggin (playfully, mind you, once by running into an out with the ball ricocheting off his body to his face, and once getting pegged while running). Couple that with having to stretch his frame at 1st to catch some wild throws, and Red spent a lot of his day in the dirt as well. It was a rough day, but Red came through with some big kicks in the meantime, and Cool Runnings kept rolling...
