First Place

Fall Westside Co-ed Softball at Gabriel Park Sundays

The Cadillacs played strong all season and it was no surprise to see them in the championship this weekend. In their first game, the Cadillacs took on Sons of Pitches who had already put on an impressive performance earlier in the day. However, the Cadillacs were able to out-score them 15-8 thanks to some timely hitting and solid defense.

This brought the Cadillacs to the big show. In the Championship game they squared off against Indy Won! who were riding high after their intense extra inning game which they one in the bottom of the 8th. Through the first 6 innings the Cadillacs looked as though they were going to end the season in second place. Going into the bottom of the 7th, Indy Won! held a 3 run lead but they could not silence the Cadillacs bats and they came up with 4 runs to seal the 2011 title. The man they call Easy E. knocked in the final run.

Congratulations to the Cadillacs and all other teams who competed this weekend. See you all again next Spring!

Ed Marcell

The Cadillacs

Ed is truly a throwback. With his 1984 Supra, cotton short shorts and a bat from the 80's, he is truly a spectacle to behold. It's not just looks though, he knows how to play the game. Every week he came to the field looking to win and have a good time. This week was no different. He led the Cadillacs to their first championship with Underdog with a game winning single in the bottom of the seventh. After the game he collected high fives from his fans like a true champ. Good job Ed!

The Cadillacs

Terri Robinson from the Cadillacs absolutely crushed the ball this weekend. To go along with her line drive home run, she had a couple more nice hits and drove in some big runs to lead her team to a come from behind win! Good job Terri, you're this weeks player of the week.
