On a beautiful day at Glenhaven Park the Perfect Strangers were able to take the title with great hitting and strong defense. Sons of Pitches gave it their all, this was their deepest trip in the playoffs with Underdog.
To get to the championship Perfect Strangers took care of Business Time 22-9, scoring 10 or their runs in the second inning. Sons of Pitches went through No Glove, No Love 23-4.
The pitching and defense quieted the bats of S.O.P. that had been so loud in the semi-final game. The final game was tied 2-2 after two innings of play. It looked like it would be a defensive battle. Then the Stragers' bats came alive, scoring 5 runs in the third, and ending strong with a 10 run sixth! The offense was too much for S.O.P. The Strangers earned the Underdog title going undefeated through their season and celebrating and capping it with a superb effort.
