Winter Wednesday Co-Ed Dodgeball at Friendly House

POTW: Katie Dipasquale

Bieber Fever

The game was tight. There was only Katie for team Beiber and one player left for the Dodgefathers. Katie was frantically doing a superb job of not being the last out for her team. She dodged this way, then she dodged that way until the other player had backed her into a corner for what appeared to be the final kill of the game. As the ball accelerated toward her legs, she twisted her body to make the most spectacular no-handed catch with her knee's. It was the crowning moment of a very energetic first night of Winter Dodgeball at the Friendly House.

Tigers Like Pepper

At a pivotal point in the match, Josh unfazed by the pressure of the match comes up with the most amazing play of the night. With one of the balls rolling close to the center line and the other team targeting him, Josh charges the ball and as the other team starts their throw he surprises the other team by sliding for the ball. This move makes the other teams throws miss AND he was able to pick up the ball and score an out from the sitting position. With his team winning the match by a slim 4-3 margin, this play turned the momentum for his teams favor to seal the victory.

Live Free or Die Awesome

With the game close and Dejene one of the last players left on the floor for his team. He morphed into the Dodgeball Killa! With pinpoint accuracy he quickly dispatched 5 of his foe's with 5 throws. It was a sight to be seen. With the effort, he swung the momentum back in his teams favor to help his seal the victory.

Tigers Like Pepper

In a tightly contested game between Balls Out! and Tigers Like Pepper, Ashley came through big in the final game to win the match 4-3. In that last tie-breaker game, Ashley fought off the competition with two monster catches and earned herself a spot in the Tigers Like Pepper Hall of Fame. The first catch was the most spectacular as she bobbled it in the air a few times and as she fell to the ground she gained control to make the play!

Tigers Like Pepper

Josh is always all over that court for the Tiger's Like Pepper dodgeball games, but last Wednesday we saw an oldie but a goodie, the cartwheel, pulled out of the bag for the sake of making a great win even greater. His hilarious antics are not only fun to watch, but effective in distracting the T.L.P. opponents just long enough for his teammates to connect with a toss or two. Great job, Josh!

I'd hit that!

With a close game on the line one of the most spectacular catches we've seen this side of the Mississippi was made by Ben from I'd Hit That! Wait...scratch that...TWO of the most spectacular catches were made simultaneously - both by Ben! To top that off they were both made with opposite hand as he was leaping in the air. It was an act that will go down in the history books as one of the best one-man shows of all time. Way to go Ben!
