Spring Midcore Kickball at Unthank Park Sundays

Looking stylish as always in his "baller" socks, dark shades, and spiked hair, Josh Hellstrom backed up his awesome accessorizing skills with some skills on the field. With the bases loaded, he booted a ball over the outfielder's heads and was easily going to score as long as he stayed on his feet. That, however, he found hard as a turf monster got him as he headed around third base. Falling, with grace, he got back to his feet and realized a defender had him dead to rights. Josh forfeited knowing he was going to get pegged out, but an errant throw gave him hope. Only seconds later was that hope dashed by a ball to the ribs. This just proves that Josh Hellstrom may get close to scoring but will only get to third base with "Your Mom." The three run triple did, however, give Your Mom a big 16-5 victory.

Danika is this week's POTW for an outstanding performance on the field. She did it all today, picking up her team at the dish and some smooth plays at shortstop. One play really stood out and she made the highlight reels with a tremendous catch. After a hard, low liner came her way, she dove to make the grab and ran to second for the amazing unassisted double play. Great job Danika!

Kimber got clobbered covering an overthrow late in the game and fighting for her team's victory. She wasn't able to walk it off, but her team did leave the field with the "W" and appreciation for her sacrifice. Heal up, Kimber.
