Sena came ready to play, and checked all inhibitions to sacrificing her body for athletic glory at the door. It's not every day you a player is holding ice to her chin before the game begins, but that's Sena for you. She was not even afraid to make a heroic "slide" into first base. Combine that with a clutch hit and speed on the base paths and Sena Nam is your player of the week.
In the final and most competitive game of the day Hootie and the Ballfish managed to hold off a scrappy MIM 2011.
Cory Cooper lead the charge from the mound. Cory threw tons of strikes an kept hitters off balance all game resulting in many routine plays for his defense.
On offense Ballfish was lead by Josie Ball. Josie seemed to be in the scoring mix all night. She drove in the base-runners in front of her and got on for the big hitters behind her.
Truly some hot action to end a hot day at Montevillia!
Pre game, during the game and post game, Tony is just a great dude. He keeps everyone loose and having fun on the field, always showing up and inspiring greatness out of those around him. He does a little bit of everything for his team. He hits, he pitches and he fields his position well. This dude is what underdog is all about!
Son's of Pitches proved up to the challange in what proved to be a difficult double header. In game one David Driver came up with big hit after big hit in this high scoring affair. Game two proved to be more of a defensive battle. Led by Kaitlyn Gillies and her flashy glove Son's of Pitches was able to keep the Upperdeckers just enough to pull out a victory.
No matter how they had to do it on this past Sunday Pitches managed to get it done. A vetern and versitle team that has been tough to beat in Underdog for some time.
Mim 2011 was able to put it all together on Sunday. The offense and defense were able to come together resulting in double-header victory harmony.
The creation of this harmony was lead by Naoki Hirai and Mike Mellein. Both players made key plays on both sides of the ball. Each had multiple big hits and patrolled the left side of the outfield to perfection.
Not wanting to be left out many other players like Sena Nam and Katie Foster made their presence felt by getting on base many different times and making many plays on defense.
It was a true team effort, every member pitching in to help out. A great double-header sweep on a great day.

Cronen's Catches Lead Falco's into Final's.
Two big catches proved to be the difference in Sunday's second semi-final. Making those two catches was Kate Cronen. As "Where My Pitches At" began to climb back in the game Kate helped to shut them down. Both catches came with bases load on hot smashes that could have been extra bases. In a very tight game these catches turned the tide and preserved victory.
