Late Fall Co-ed Dodgeball at Friendly House Wednesdays

Celebration

The Angry Anthem

There was a celebration going on at The Friendly House like there was no other. In the 1st game between The Angry Hugs vs Live Free or Die Awesome team members from Live Free came out red hot intimidating The Angry Hugs with their vicious throws and before you know it the score was 4-0 in favor of Live Free.
Angry Hugs got settled in and were not going to be intimidated. Peter Griffen was left alone standing against 2 opponents. Peter displayed his nifty feet while dodging flying balls while his teammates on the side chanting and their Angry Anthem.
The chanting worked because even though he was tired, Peter mustered enough energy to get both players out. Once he got the final out, it was a party like never before. His teammates rushed him screaming with enjoyment like never before. They would have carried him off the court but there was still 8 minutes left in the game.
This celebration showed the true meaning of Underdog....FUN! For all the fun The Angry Hugs had even though they lost the game we give them the Team of The Week award. Party on players.

Dancing feet

Hey look at me. Bet you can't get me out!
That is what Alex Zimmerman was saying with his actions as he was enticing the opposing team while dancing like a fairy across the court. It wasn't talk to trash and no one took it the wrong way. It was to show that he was having a great time.
Not only did Alex demonstrate that he had a good time on the dodgeball court, but he also distracted the other teams with his fancy dancing. As the opposing teams looked on in laughter, Alex's teammates would get them out while they were vulnerable.
This was not only great strategy by Alex and his team, but also showed that he is not afraid to have fun in public and for that we give him the Player of the Week Award. Congratulations to Alex.

Hybrid Power

Power and Strenth

Everyone questions where this team came from and who they are, hence their name of Questionable Origins. People often think they are hybrids of vampires and wolves because of their powerful strength.
Wednesday at The Friendly House, Keith Bosic demonstrated that amazing strength. He was dropping people like flies until he threw the ball so hard he suffered a gruesome injury to his throwing arm.
Its unfortunate that happened to him, but its a lesson to the on comers that step in his path.....do not get in the way of his wrath.
Keith gets the player of the week award as he recuperates and gets better.

A Dynamic Duo

Game Strategy

We have a dynamic duo in that stepped up their game at the Friendly House. Lauren Rosenstein and Gina O'Looney from The Angry Hugs.
Both these players had a secret meeting before their games to discuss game strategy. Lauren would distract players with her smile and dancing moves while Gina would take advantage and knock the players down with her vicious throws. This strategy helped the team in both their matches, helping The Angry Hugs to a tie and a victory.
We have never seen a dynamic duo like this since Captain Caveman & Son. These two girls are a deadly combination with a great sense of humor. Because of their game play strategy, they are this week's Player's of the Week.

6 vs 1

The out that was heard around the world came in the final game with a 3-3 tie. It was made by Titus Leo from I'd Hit That.
Earlier in the game deciding match, everyone from I'd Hit That got out early on and Titus had a surprised look on his face as he said "Really?"
He dipped and dodged and when he had a couple of balls, he pegged out the other players one by one. Before you know it, it turned into a face off. Then the out heard around the world happened as Titus throws a ball and hits the final player in the leg to end the game and win the match for his team.
For his awesome game play and above all, his great attitude, Titus Leo gets the Player of the Week award. Congratulations.

Slow Motion

Inspirational career

Mark from Balls of Fury got everything that he asked from Santa this year for Christmas. With all that excitement, he was inspired to let it all out on the dodgeball court.
He had one of his best nights by nailing each player one by one and only getting out one time the whole night. Mark capped the night off when a player threw the ball at him and as he was falling back, he managed to tip the ball with his fingertips. While the ball was in the air, he recuperated his balance and dove for the ball in the air. His eyes were focused on that one ball while all the other flying balls were in slow motion like the matrix. He managed to make that spectacular catch that ended propelling the team to an inspirational win.
Not only is Mark a big asset to his team, but with that great night he should think about being an inspirational speaker and for that we give him the player of the week award. Congratulations.

Pack a mean punch

You wouldn't think she is a fierce player because of her nice demeanor towards everybody, but Susanna from Testicleaze can pack a mean punch....and she will let you know.
Suzanna has knocked down her share of players down who are trying to catch her ball but on Wednesday night for the playoffs she took it to a whole new level. She brought her "A" game knocking out players one by one. When her team left her stranded against 5 players she not only put on an amazing dodging display, but she caught 2 balls back to back to bring her teammates back into play and help seal a victory to go on to the next round.
After it was all said and done, Susanna just smiles and thanks everyone for playing. She is a true Underdog Sport and for that she gets the coveted Player of the Week. Congratulations.
