Summer Co-ed Softball at Irving Park Mon/Tue/Wed

Shots! Jumped out to an early 2 inning 11-0 lead. The bottom of the 2nd came up and 7 runs crossed to notch away at the big lead. I’d hit it kept chipping away over the next few innings and eventually took the lead @ the end of 5 (15-14). That didn’t last long as shots responded with 3 in the 6th, but a heads up play by the pitcher and 3rd baseman to get the 3rd out and end the inning made it 17-15. 3 more added in the top of 7 by shots and the come back was set for epic proportions. In the bottom of the 7th down by 2 with the bases loaded, I’d hit that ripped a hit past 2nd base and 2 runs came in easily to tie it up but an errant throw passed the catcher while Aubrey rounding 3rd couldn’t/decided not to stop and crossed home safely!!! What a game and a great team to take home the title!!!

Tara Moates

I'd hit it

Tara had a great game in her team’s playoff win. She made a great double play at third base. Tara also hit a deep home run to right field!

Aubrey Mellul

I'd hit it

Aubrey’s team was losing 12-10 in the top of the 7th inning with 2 outs when she got up to bat. She hit a single that scored 2 runs. Then went on to score the go ahead run to help her team win a very close game.

Lauren Markovich

Great all-around game

Lauren is player of the week because she made a big impact at the plate and in the field during her team’s win. She had an RBI in each of her at bat’s and made crucial plays on defense without any errors.
