Wesley was a true X-factor all over the field in his game this week. Proving the old adage that some people just have “it,” Wesley was on another level during his game. Throughout the game, Wesley outran, outjumped, and outperformed the competition, which kept his team in the game till the end. Even if they came up short, Wesley put on a show and for gracing all in attendance with his natural athletic ability, he is our Player of the Week. Congratulations!

On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Jon of Baseloaders transcended softball with his stunning performance. Time after time, Baseloaders turned to Jon when they needed to get out of an inning due to his incredible fielding skills. Time and time again, Jon answered the call, doing it all at the pitchers mound. Jon recorded out after out, fielding ground balls, line drives, and even tallying a couple of strike outs. For his stellar performance, Jon is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!

On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Ben of Shots?! transcended softball with his outstanding performance. Throughout the entire game, Ben did it all for his team. He was making spectacular plays at short stop and kept it going in center towards the end of the game. He didn’t slow down at the plate going for 8 RBIs on the day. For his outstanding performance, Ben is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!

Either at the plate, in the field or inspiring her teammates in the dugout, Amanda's lead by example mentality lifted her team to a hard fought victory in the first game of the night . Kevin repeatedly was energized and kept his team in high spirits, even when they started to fall behind towards the game. Regardless, Kevin made sure to keep his teams energy up and do whatever he could to spark the rally. Kevin truly embodied the Underdog spirit with his attitude. It’s the bottom of the 7th with 1 out. Runners are on 1st and 2nd. Tie ball game. Phil has been automatic at the plate all night. This at bat was no different. When Energy 350 needed him most, he came through. Phil hit a shot out to left field. The out fielder tried to make an amazing play on the ball and it got down just before he could get there. The ball rolled past left field and Energy 350 parade out of the dugout and the runner scored from 2nd to secure the win. For an absolutely amazing and clutch performance, Phil is our player of the week!

Softball is truly a team sport. However, now and again, it allows some players to absolutely shine when the spotlight is on them. Jeff from Big Pink did just that. From incredible pitching to being automatic at the plate, Jeff was in his own world tonight. He made plays at pitcher and continuously hit the ball deep allowing his team to get ahead early. Energy 350 tried to make a late run, but Jeff’s pitching was too much to handle as he was able to deal the deal and help his team get the win. For the amazing performance displayed on the diamond today, Jeff is our player of the week!
