John is the player of the week because of his go-ahead RBI in the top of the last inning which ended up being the game winning hit! There were 2 outs and runners on first and second when it happened.
In the bottom of the 7th inning Josh’s team was up 5-4 with runners on first and second base with 2 outs. He had a jumping catch at 3rd base on a hard hit line drive! If Josh wouldn’t have made that difficult catch the game-tying run could have potentially came in!
On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Ben of Shots?! transcended softball with his outstanding performance. Throughout the entire game, Ben did it all for his team. He was making spectacular plays at short stop and kept it going in center towards the end of the game. He didn’t slow down at the plate going for 8 RBIs on the day. For his outstanding performance, Ben is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!
